We Believe: "A Changed Mind is A Changed Life .."

ARTSAVE, Inc. was formed because in July of 2019, Sidney Isaiah Watson was shot and killed, while sitting in his car at a red light. The untimely loss of ARTSAVE's Founder and CEO's nephew left such a deep wound that it forced Mr. Watson to address this major crisis among young men of color and inside black and brown communities.

ARTSAVE, Inc. was formed to confront the number of homicides among marginalized youth and self-destructive behavior caused by adverse childhood trauma (ACE), generational trauma, social inequality, dysfunctional and unhealthy environments.

The acronym "M.A.D" was used as a driving-force to "MAKE-A-DIFFERENCE." 

Mr. Watson's hope to change the narrative for youth and communities of New York City most likely affected by gun violence. In his experience, he realized that the challenge comes from a lack of resources  that supports one's internal and external wellness. 

As a result, Mr. Watson's will implement an evidence-based, client-centered approach as a roadmap to the highest level of psychological development, individual and collective achievement is now his priority. 

Out of a painful experience of losing a loved-one to an all-to-familiar experince such a gun violence, changing the narrative, specifically where the lack of resources is at an all-time high within urban and low-income communities, Mr. Watson's mission to implement resources is a personal initiative to decrease the statistics of gang/gun violence, murder rates, and social inequality among youth, young adult, and disenfranchised communities.
