Our Programs

Court Advocacy

Alternative to Gun Violence (ATGV)

Alternative to Gun Violence (ATGV)

A specialized program designed to support and advocate for youth navigating the justice system. The program provides individualized guidance and resources to court-involved youth, helping them understand the legal process while promoting alternative pathways that prioritize rehabilitation over punishment.

Through creative interventions such as art-based therapy, mentorship, and skill-building, ARTSAVE will empower youth to address the underlying factors contributing to their court involvement, such as trauma, substance misuse, or behavioral health challenges. The goal is to reduce recidivism and support positive development and community reintegration.

Ceasefire - Cure Violence (CCV)

  • The ARTSAVE Ceasefire - Cure Violence (CCV) program is a community-based initiative aimed at reducing gun violence among youth and in communities impacted by violence.

  • Modeling the internationally recognized Cure Violence model, the CCV program treats violence as a public health issue, focusing on interrupting violent behavior, identifying and supporting individuals at high risk, and shifting community norms.

  • Through art-based therapies, youth are empowered to express themselves, heal from trauma, and develop alternative coping strategies.

  • ARTSAVE CCV will work directly with affected individuals, families, and communities to promote peace, safety, and resilience, while fostering a supportive environment that addresses the emotional, mental, and social needs of participants.

Ceasefire - Cure Violence (CCV)

  • ARTSAVE's goal is to become a part of the NYC Crisis Management System in hope to deliver Community-based Therapeutic services to Cure Violence sites throughout the city.

  • These services are designed to support individuals, families, and communities in mourning the loss of loved ones to gun violence, while fostering healing and providing essential support. Additionally, we play a critical role in helping community members identify and address serious mental health concerns before they escalate.
